Are you looking to create sexy interfaces and manipulate feeds into them in order to build a dynamic web application, but you don’t know how to code?
That’s what I’m talking about.
If you’re like me, then you have a lot of great ideas but a hard time making them yourself. Enter Sprout, special props to Adam Broitman for introducing me to it. Sprout looks to have a minimalist photoshop-esque interface but it also allows you to pump in feeds to make dynamic looking pages in a snap.
There is a free account that lets you build and save 3 projects and pricing goes up from there. I’ve signed up for the free account and am tooling around with the awesomeness as I type this post.
Super cool idea and super cool execution will have me coming back to Sprout for some time to come… that’s for sure. From a business perspective, why pay an agency thousands of dollars for a Facebook fan page that may not even engage your target demographic, when you can slap a Sprout together and test it for free or really cheap.
Seriously.
What Do You Think?
I’m curious to understand what you think about the implications of do it yourself web apps. With so many agencies outsourcing their “social work,” is something like this fair game? Let me know what you think in the comments below.
