My wife, the Carrie, and I started adding flair to our Christmas Cards back in 2004 because A. we first started sending out Christmas Cards to friends and family in 2004, and B. we wanted our cards to be different from everybody else’s cards. That flair has kind of evolved into a tradition where we now do our best to out-do the previous year’s creation.
I’m really digging how this year’s card turned out, which was the Carrie’s brainchild. She is definitely the artist/designer in the family and I just carried out her vision in photoshop.
Since I’m so into this year’s card, I thought it would be cool to round up all of our end of the year holiday fun photos and put them into a Flickr slideshow. This way we can see both the evolution of the cards themselves and the evolution of the C-Unit. I felt compelled to do this for two reasons. Number one is it’s the holidays, so it’s time of year appropriate. Number two is that I read a post that my new friend Fran Melmed wrote called, no predictions, no resolutions, only courage and it really resonated with me.
The message to Fran’s post is simple: In 2010, have the courage to be you and to do the things, even the little things, that you always wanted to do.
I hope you enjoy the slide show. :)
