BACKGROUND

Grew up in SoCal, went to “college” at the Zoo, and served in the World’s Finest Air Force as an Acquisitions Officer, including a stint in Iraq. I’ve been a project manager since 2001 and a Project Management Professional since 2006, primarily working on software and web applications. Currently immersed in social media at Humana. Giving out high fives and free hugs like it’s my job, while we work to put the happy back into health.

SOCIAL PROJECTS

Working within Humana’s Innovation Center to build a premier Health Innovation blog and website known as Crumple it Up. Things that interest me in this area include Health Technology and Health Innovations, but I’m also fascinated with the social side of being healthy: how personal stories of triumph can inspire others to lead better lives.

Also within Humana’s Innovation Center, co-created a Twitter Search Analytics / Google Maps mash-up called myTPSreport. I’m very interested in mapping and exploring social connections. Creating a concept for a web based tool, then acquiring / overseeing a budget and team of developers, in a Fortune 100 company, has been a very satisfying accomplishment.

Created and sold a local professional network of project managers in the Louisville area called LouisvillePM. I built the network up to over 300 members on the Ning platform, hosted events to bring the community together in the real world, and found project managers jobs during one of the harshest economic climates my generation has faced. I grew tremendously from the experience in both a personal and professional way.
