Inner Awesomeness

The quest toward inner awesomeness hit me as I was giving my 16 year old nephew some advice on life after high school. At the time of the conversation, he had no idea what he wanted to do with his life. I don’t really blame him. I had my life all mapped out in high school, but it wasn’t until later that I realized that I need to find work I can be passionate about in order to achieve fulfillment.

So as we were talking I asked him, what if you told your guidance counselor that your goal in life was simply to be awesome?

We got some laughs out of it, and then we mapped out what it would take to achieve that goal. If my goal in life is to be awesome, then I need to accomplish five things. I’ve put those five things into a presentation so I can hit the high school motivational speaker circuit if I’m ever hard up for a job:
